How Standard Account Commissions Are Calculated

Commission Calculation for Standard Account Types

For partners referring clients who trade on Standard, Standard Plus, and Standard Pro accounts, commissions are calculated based on your partner level using the formula:

Commission = Partner Rate × (50% of Opening Spread + 50% of Closing Spread) × Volume

Practical Example

Let's say you're a Gold Partner (35% commission rate) and your referred client trades 3 lots of EURUSD on a Standard account:

Opening Trade:

  • Bid: 1.17521

  • Ask: 1.17525

  • Opening Spread = (1.17525 - 1.17521) × 100,000 = $4

  • Opening Commission = 50% × 35% × 3 lots × $4 = $2.1

Closing Trade:

  • Bid: 1.17612

  • Ask: 1.17616

  • Closing Spread = (1.17616 - 1.17612) × 100,000 = $4

  • Closing Commission = 50% × 35% × 3 lots × $4 = $2.1

Total Commission = $2.1 + $2.1 = $4.2

Important Notes:

  • Commissions are only paid after the client closes their trade

  • This calculation method applies to Standard, Standard Plus, and Standard Pro accounts

  • Different partner levels receive different commission percentages (Partner: 25%, Silver: 30%, Gold: 35%, Platinum: 40%, Diamond: 45%)

  • For Zero and Raw accounts, a fixed commission per lot applies based on the instrument traded
