Understanding Copy Trading Execution Delays
Updated over a week ago

When using the copy trading system in our Client Portal(https://fxtrading.com/en/trading-platform/), it's important to understand the potential delays between a lead trader's execution and the replication for copy traders. Here's what you can expect:

For Small-Scale Copy Trading (20 followers or fewer):

- Typical execution: Same second or within 1 second

- Occasional delays: 2-5 seconds (e.g., when a master trader opens 5+ deals simultaneously using an EA)

Acceptable Delay Ranges:

- 0-1 second: Optimal performance

- 1-2 seconds: Acceptable during calm market conditions

- 0-5 seconds: Possible during high-volatility news events

For Large-Scale Copy Trading (50+ followers):

- Expected speed: Approximately 100 trades per second

- MT5 performance: Potential for 500+ trades/second

- MT4 performance: Potential for 300+ trades/2 seconds

When to Seek Assistance:

- Consistent delays beyond 1 second for small-scale copying

- 35-50+ active followers: Monitor daily performance

- 100+ followers: Optimization may be necessary if stable 2-second delays occur

Remember, millisecond-level precision isn't visible, and various factors can influence execution speed. If you notice persistent delays outside these ranges, please contact our support team for further investigation.
