How do I read fund and Signal Provider performance charts?

Learn how to read Cumulative Returns, Equity Curve, Monthly Returns, Trading Instruments, Symbol Distribution and benchmark comparisons on Fund Strategy and Signal Provider profiles.

Fund Strategy and Signal Provider profiles use several charts to show different parts of historical performance. No single chart gives a complete view, so compare return, equity, drawdown, risk and trading activity together.

Where can I find the charts?

Open the relevant Fund Strategy or Signal Provider profile in the Client Portal and go to Performance.

The page may also provide Trade Analysis and Positions so you can review the available trading history and current positions.

Cumulative Returns

Cumulative Returns shows how the strategy's linked trading performance has changed since the beginning of the selected period.

Cash movements such as deposits, subscriptions, withdrawals and redemptions do not count as trading profit or loss. This means cumulative return can move differently from equity or Assets Under Management.

On a Fund Strategy profile, the chart may also show:

  • Fund Return

  • One or more selected market benchmarks

The benchmark names displayed depend on the Fund Strategy's current configuration. A benchmark is provided for context only. It does not mean that the Fund Strategy follows, holds or is designed to outperform that benchmark.

Equity Curve

The Equity Curve shows the monetary value displayed by the strategy over time.

  • On a Fund Strategy profile, the chart is labelled Strategy AUM.

  • On a Signal Provider profile, the chart is labelled Strategy Equity.

The Equity Curve may rise or fall because of both trading results and cash movements. It should not be interpreted as a return percentage.

Time-range buttons

The Performance chart provides the following time-range buttons:

  • All: The full available record.

  • 1Y: The most recent one-year period.

  • YTD: From the beginning of the current calendar year to the latest available update.

  • MTD: From the beginning of the current calendar month to the latest available update.

Changing the time range changes the period displayed on the chart. It does not change the underlying account or strategy.

Monthly Returns

Monthly Returns shows the return recorded for each completed or available calendar month.

You can use All or select an available year, such as 2026, to review monthly results. A blank value or dash generally means that no result is available for that month.

Monthly results can help you identify consistency and periods of loss, but they do not predict future performance.

Trading Instruments and Symbol Distribution

The fund page uses Trading Instruments, while the Signal Provider page uses Symbol Distribution.

These sections show the instruments represented in the available trading record. Select More when the page offers it to review additional instrument information.

Instrument concentration can affect risk. A strategy concentrated in one market, asset class or symbol may react differently from a more diversified strategy.

Performance Attribution

The Fund Strategy page may display Performance Attribution (%) as a monthly table with a year-to-date result.

This table helps you see which months contributed positively or negatively to the displayed yearly performance. It should be read together with the cumulative return chart because monthly percentages are linked over time rather than simply added together.

Updated on

Use the Updated on timestamp to see when the displayed profile data was last refreshed. The page shows the applicable time-zone offset next to the timestamp.

Different profile sections may update at different times. If a recent trade or cash movement is not yet reflected, check the latest update time before comparing figures.

Important: Charts and benchmarks describe historical data. They do not guarantee future returns and should not be used as the sole basis for an investment decision.
