Switching Between MetaTrader Platforms
If you wish to switch from one platform to the other, note the following:
No Account Migration: It is not possible to migrate an existing MT4 live account to MT5 while retaining the same account number. The reverse also applies.
Separate Accounts Required: To use both platforms, you must maintain separate accounts for MT4 and MT5. Each account can be managed through the FXTRADING.com Client Portal.
Opening a New Account: To begin trading on MT5, open a new MT5 account through the Client Portal.
Your MT4 account will remain active, enabling you to operate independently on both platforms. This separation supports traders who may wish to leverage specific features unique to each platform.
