A Live Account uses real funds. A Demo Account uses virtual funds for platform familiarisation and practice.
Can I use a Demo Account for Social Trading or Funds Management?
No. Social Trading and Funds Management use real funds. A Demo Account and its virtual funds cannot be used to invest in either service.
Social Trading investments use the Investment Wallet. The Investment Wallet is activated only after KYC is approved; submitting verification documents or waiting for review is not approval.
For Funds Management, investors may allocate real funds from the Investment Wallet or an eligible existing ordinary trading account, depending on the sources offered in the subscription flow. An MT4 or MT5 Live Account remains separate from the Investment Wallet; funding it does not automatically create a fund investment or synchronize its balance with the wallet. Current product eligibility and investment requirements still apply.
What does a Demo Account let me experience?
A Demo Account lets you explore FXTRADING.com quoted prices, order speed and execution, spreads and any displayed fees in a simulated environment before trading with real funds. Demo conditions and results may differ from live trading; they do not guarantee live pricing, execution speed, costs or performance.
This practice environment does not provide demo access to Social Trading or Funds Management. Demo trading uses virtual funds and does not generate any IB rebates.
Live Accounts
On a Live Account:
deposits, withdrawals, profit and loss affect real funds;
orders are subject to the account's current pricing, execution, margin and product conditions;
identity, account and payment requirements may apply; and
the account can be archived or otherwise restricted according to its displayed status and applicable terms.
Creating an FXTRADING.com profile does not guarantee that a particular Live Account will be created automatically. Open the Client Portal to see the accounts available to your profile and any action required before trading is enabled.
Demo Accounts
On a Demo Account:
the balance is virtual and cannot be withdrawn;
prices and platform functions are provided for demonstration and practice;
execution and results may differ from a Live Account; and
the account may expire or be removed after inactivity according to the status shown in the Client Portal.
A Demo Account does not remove trading risk and its results do not predict live-account performance.
