MT4 desktop can send push messages to the MetaTrader 4 mobile app. The destination is identified by its MetaQuotes ID.
Configure and test the destination
On your phone, open MetaTrader 4. Find the MetaQuotes ID under Settings, then Messages.
In MT4 desktop, open Tools, choose Options, then select Notifications.
Select Enable Push notifications. Enter your own mobile MetaQuotes ID. Up to four IDs may be entered, separated by commas; all receive the messages.
Enable Notify of trade operations only if you want the transaction notifications described below.
Click Test. Check both the desktop response and the message on the intended phone, then click OK to save.
If the test fails, recheck the ID, internet connection and phone notification permissions before relying on alerts.
Understand the notification controls
Control | Meaning |
Push notifications | Allows desktop notification sending. |
Trade-operation notifications | Includes successful trades and balance operations; rejected operations are not notified. |
MetaQuotes ID | Identifies the receiving mobile installation; it is not your trading account number. |
Check the complete alert setup
A successful test confirms delivery through that setup at that time. It does not show that a future market condition will be reached or that an alert or program is configured to send a message. For locally generated alerts, keep MT4 desktop running and connected. Recheck the ID after changing phones or reinstalling the app.
Notifications do not replace transaction history, platform logs or account checks. Do not add another person's MetaQuotes ID unless you intend to share the messages with that device. This guide configures MetaTrader 4, not other apps; interface wording can vary with the installed language.
