The MT4 and MT5 features and trading conditions available to you can depend on the platform, account type, server, instrument and FXTRADING.com entity connected with your account.
Check the account and platform
Sign in to the FXTRADING.com Client Portal.
Open the relevant trading account.
Confirm whether it uses MT4 or MT5 and note the server name.
Sign in to the matching platform with the account number, server and trading password shown.
Open the instrument's Specification before trading.
Features you may see
Depending on the account and platform, features can include:
market, limit and stop orders;
pending-order expiry controls;
partial close;
trailing stop;
hedged positions where supported;
Expert Advisors and other platform tools;
platform messages and news; and
account history and reports.
A feature displayed in MT4 or MT5 can still be limited by the account, instrument or current trading conditions.
Check the trading conditions
For each instrument, review:
trading hours;
minimum and maximum volume;
price and volume increments;
spread, commission and swap information;
margin and leverage information;
pending-order and position limits; and
the margin-call and stop-out conditions applicable to the account.
Do not assume that one percentage, order limit or liquidation order applies to every account.
Expert Advisors, scalping and automated strategies
Confirm that the strategy is compatible with the platform, account and instrument specifications. Automated tools remain subject to market conditions, available liquidity, latency, margin, trading hours and platform rules. FXTRADING.com does not guarantee that an Expert Advisor or strategy will execute as expected or remain profitable.
A feature is missing or an order is rejected
Check the Journal or error message, account type, server, instrument specification, market hours, available margin and trading password. If the issue continues, contact support with the account number, platform, server, instrument, order reference, exact error and timestamp. Never provide a trading password or one-time code.
