Understanding Account Archiving Types

Updated over a week ago

When managing your trading accounts, it's important to understand the two different types of account archiving: Soft Archive and Hard Archive.

What is Soft Archive?

Soft Archive occurs when you manually archive a trading account through the Client Portal. This is a user-initiated action that helps you organize your account list.

Key features of Soft Archive:

  • You initiate this action by clicking the "Archive" button in your Client Portal

  • The account appears in your Archive List

  • You can reactivate the account at any time

  • Full control remains with you

What is Hard Archive?

Hard Archive is a system-initiated process that occurs when an account meets specific inactivity criteria.

Key features of Hard Archive:

  • Automatically triggered by our trading system

  • Applies to accounts with zero balance and no activity for 90 consecutive days

  • The account will not appear in your Archive List in the Client Portal

  • The account cannot be manually reactivated

Why Does Hard Archive Happen?

If your trading account has:

  • No trading activity for 90 consecutive days, AND

  • No login activity for 90 consecutive days, AND

  • Zero balance

Our system will automatically mark it as inactive and apply Hard Archive status.
