Why does a performance fee display as USD 0.00?

A performance fee can be smaller than the number of decimal places shown in the interface. In that case, the displayed amount may be USD 0.00 even though the underlying fee record has not necessarily been discarded.

Why can this happen?

The displayed fee depends on factors such as the eligible profit, the performance-fee rate, the account currency and the display precision used on that screen. A very small fee can round to zero for display purposes.

Does USD 0.00 mean that no fee was recorded?

Not necessarily. Open the detailed fee, settlement or transaction record and check the amount and status shown there. Small amounts may be accumulated or included when the applicable settlement is calculated.

Do not estimate the payable amount by adding rounded figures from the summary screen.

Where can I check the fee?

Depending on the product, review:

  • the performance-fee history;

  • the investment or strategy statement;

  • the settlement record; and

  • the relevant transaction history.

Use the final amount and status shown in the completed settlement record.

The amount still looks incorrect
