Mobile App Login When Server Search Fails

If you're unable to find the FXTRADING.com server when searching on the MT4 or MT5 mobile app, this guide will walk you through the correct login process and help you understand account-specific features.

Understanding Account Types and Instrument Availability

The availability of certain trading instruments varies by account type:

Zero Account:

  • Cryptocurrencies, including Bitcoin (BTC), are not supported

  • Instruments like BTCUSD.sd will not appear in either demo or live Zero accounts

Standard Account:

  • Both demo and live Standard accounts support cryptocurrency trading

  • To trade or view BTC, you must use a Standard account type on MT4/MT5

Why Can't I Find the Server?

FXTRADING.com no longer supports direct account creation through the MT4/MT5 mobile apps by searching for the company name or server names. This limitation is particularly noticeable when attempting to open a demo account directly from the mobile app.

Solution: Login to an Existing Account

Instead of selecting "Open a demo account," follow these steps:

  1. Open your MT4 or MT5 mobile app

  2. Select "Login to an existing account" (not "Open a demo account")

  3. In the server search field, manually enter:

    • FXTRADING.com-Live (for real accounts)

    • FXTRADING.com-Demo (for demo accounts)

  4. Enter your existing account credentials:

    • Account number

    • Trading password

  5. Complete the login process

Additional Troubleshooting Steps

If you continue experiencing connection issues, try these solutions:

Check Network Access:

  • Ensure your device can reach external servers

  • Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data to verify connectivity

Disable Security Software:

  • Temporarily disable antivirus or firewall software on your device

  • Attempt to reconnect to the server

Refresh or Reinstall the App:

  • Restart your device to refresh the MT4/MT5 app's cache

  • If issues persist, uninstall and reinstall the app

  • Ensure you download from an official source (App Store or Google Play)

Important Notes

  • You must create your trading account through the Client Portal first before logging in via mobile

  • The server names FXTRADING.com-Live and FXTRADING.com-Demo are case-sensitive

  • Enter the complete server name exactly as shown

  • After entering the server name, try refreshing the app or restarting your device to improve connectivity
