Can I download historical market data from FXTRADING.com?

Understand the historical price information available in trading platforms, why FXTRADING.com does not provide one central downloadable dataset, and what to check for backtesting.

FXTRADING.com does not currently provide a separate service that supplies clients with a centralised downloadable historical-price dataset for individual trading instruments.

What historical information may be available?

Your trading platform may display chart or price history made available for the connected account and server. The amount and format of history available can depend on the platform, account type, server, instrument and data feed.

This platform history is not the same as a broker-supplied centralised data file covering every account type or liquidity source.

Why is there no single central historical-data file?

Pricing can differ across account types and the liquidity providers connected to them. Server, spread, execution and feed differences mean that one central file may not accurately represent the prices available to every account.

Can I use the data for backtesting or external analysis?

You may use the history and export functions available in your own platform or obtain data from a third-party provider, subject to the applicable terms. Before relying on any dataset, confirm its instrument, server, timezone, price type, spread assumptions and coverage period.

Results produced with third-party or platform history may not match live FXTRADING.com execution and do not guarantee future performance.

What if platform history appears incomplete?

Confirm that you are connected to the correct trading account and server, then refresh the instrument history in the platform. If the issue continues, contact our Customer Support Team through the Service Hub and provide the platform, account server, instrument and date range. Support can help troubleshoot platform access but cannot promise a custom historical-data file.
