This guide explains current Web Trader controls. It does not recommend whether, when, what or how much to trade and does not guarantee acceptance, execution price or outcome.
Before sending an order
Use Change account and verify the account number, MT4 or MT5 platform, and Live or Demo environment.
Select the complete symbol and open Information to check the current trade size, sessions, status and other displayed conditions.
Confirm available Free Margin and trading access; an investor/read-only account cannot trade.
Place a market or pending order
Select the intended account and complete symbol, then select the displayed SELL or BUY side to open the ticket.
If Web Trader shows Market is closed or Account status: Read-only, stop and use the current message; do not try to bypass the state.
Enter a volume within the current permitted range and increment displayed for the selected account and symbol.
Choose SELL or BUY and confirm that the direction matches your intended instruction.
For a pending order, turn on Pending and enter the trigger price shown as valid by the current ticket; otherwise leave Pending off for a market instruction.
Turn on Take Profit or Stop Loss only if required, then enter values that satisfy the current direction-aware limits.
Before selecting Confirm, review the account, complete symbol, direction, volume, displayed price and every enabled control.
To manage a pending order, open Pending and select the exact order. Use only an action clearly displayed for that order. Because the exact cancellation control has not been verified for the current Web Trader version, this guide does not specify a cancellation button. If no clear action is displayed, submit a ticket through the account-specific path below.
Confirm where the result is recorded
An accepted market position appears in Open.
An accepted pending order appears in Pending while it remains pending.
When the trigger condition is met, the pending order can become an open position and move to Open.
A completed exit is recorded in Closed; verify the recorded volume, prices and time rather than relying only on the confirmation.
Modify or close an open position
Open the relevant row in Open.
Use Modify to change the Stop Loss or Take Profit fields that are available, then verify the updated row.
Use Close or Quick Close only for the exact position shown.
If Partial Close is available, enter the volume to close, not the volume to keep, and review the confirmation.
After processing, verify the remaining Open volume and the record under Closed.
Use Close All carefully
Close All can display filters for all, long, short, profitable or losing positions; unavailable groups are disabled when their count is zero.
Review the selected filter and every affected position before continuing, because the action can apply to more than one row.
If the result is unexpected
If the ticket is blocked, check the selected account, trading access and the current market-status message.
If volume is rejected, recheck the current minimum, maximum and increment for the exact account and complete symbol.
If Take Profit or Stop Loss is rejected, review the direction-aware limits currently shown in the ticket or Modify view.
If an instruction appears accepted but the expected row is missing, recheck the account, complete symbol and Open, Pending or Closed tab before submitting anything again.
If account data is stale, mixed with another account, unexpectedly zero or inconsistent, stop transactional steps and use the evidence and ticket path below.
Do not repeatedly submit the same instruction. Record the selected account platform/environment, complete symbol, intended action, exact error or status, date and time with time zone, and the affected order or position reference. Hide unrelated personal information in screenshots.
For account-specific investigation, use Client Portal → Service Hub → Create Ticket → FXTRADING.com Platforms → Available Infrastructure → FXTRADING.com Web Terminal.
Never provide a password, one-time code, private key or recovery phrase.
