A trading account can be separated from the active-account view because you archived it manually or because the system placed it into hard dormancy after inactivity. Manual archiving and system hard dormancy are different states.
Live and Demo inactivity thresholds
Live trading accounts: The system places a Live trading account into hard dormancy when the account has no funds and has had no trading activity for 90 consecutive days.
Demo trading accounts: The system places a Demo trading account into hard dormancy after 30 consecutive days with no trading activity.
Once a trading account enters system hard dormancy, it cannot be reactivated. Customer Support cannot reactivate a system-hard-dormant account.
Manual archiving
If Archive account is available in the Client Portal, review the message before confirming it. Do not close positions, cancel transactions or move funds solely to make the archive control appear.
A manually archived account is not automatically the same as a system-hard-dormant account. Use only the status and actions currently shown for that account.
Find an archived account
Sign in to the Client Portal.
Open Accounts.
Open Archive List.
Select the relevant account and review its current status and available actions.
If the account is missing from both the active list and Archive List, check whether you can currently sign in to that exact account in MT4 or MT5. Being able to sign in to the exact account means it has not entered system hard dormancy.
Can an archived account be reactivated?
For a manually archived account, use a reactivation control only if it is currently displayed for that account.
A system-hard-dormant account cannot be reactivated through the Client Portal or by Customer Support.
Is archiving the same as closing or deleting my account?
No.
Account archiving changes the state or visibility of an eligible trading account.
Account closure asks FXTRADING.com to end access to an account or service.
A privacy request asks FXTRADING.com to assess information connected with you.
A marketing opt-out stops optional promotional messages.
