How to check current spreads and trading conditions

Learn where to check current spreads and which account, instrument, and market factors can change trading costs and execution conditions.

Spreads and execution conditions are variable. They can differ by instrument, account type, trading platform, market session, liquidity and volatility. A historical or advertised “from” value is not a guaranteed spread for a future order.

Where can I check the current spread?

  1. Open the relevant instrument in MT4 or MT5.

  2. Review the live Bid and Ask prices in Market Watch.

  3. Open the instrument’s Specification or Properties window for the current contract and trading details.

  4. Review the account and instrument information shown in the Client Portal before opening an account or placing a trade.

What can change the trading cost?

  • the selected account type and its spread or commission structure;

  • the instrument and account currency;

  • market hours, liquidity and volatility;

  • swap, financing or conversion adjustments where applicable; and

  • the order size and available execution conditions.

Do not rely on a fixed spread, fill-rate, slippage or execution figure unless it is displayed in a current approved product or legal source for the exact account and instrument.

Available instrument categories

Available instruments may include forex, energies, indices, metals, commodities, cryptocurrencies and shares. Availability can vary by legal entity, profile, account type and platform.

Which account should I choose?

Compare the account types currently offered in the Client Portal, including the full spread and commission structure, supported platform, instruments, activation requirements and other conditions.
