Effective from 15 July 2026, a negative balance clearing request is assessed across your entire FXTRADING.com profile rather than one account in isolation.
What is negative balance clearing?
Negative balance clearing is a risk-protection process that allows an eligible account holder to apply to reset eligible account and wallet balances to zero when combined eligible balance across the profile is negative.
It is not an account-by-account adjustment. A negative balance in one account does not by itself establish eligibility.
When can I apply?
All of the following conditions must be met:
There are no open positions in any Live Account, Funds Management account, or Social Trading account covered by the profile.
There are no open or pending orders.
All account and wallet activity is fully settled, with no deposits, withdrawals, transfers, redemptions, or other funds in transit.
Combined eligible balance across all eligible accounts and wallets is below zero.
How is eligibility calculated?
Eligibility is calculated for the account holder as a whole. Positive and negative balances across eligible accounts and wallets are combined. You cannot request clearing for only one account.
If combined eligible balance is zero or positive, the profile is not eligible even when an individual account has a negative balance.
How do balance and trading credit affect negative balance clearing?
Negative balance clearing is a separate profile-wide assessment of eligible balances. The MT component uses balance, not equity including trading credit; the combined eligible balance must be below zero. One negative account alone does not establish eligibility. Withdrawals instead use equity minus trading credit for the MT component, together with the other withdrawal conditions.
For example, all other eligible balances are zero and an MT account has a balance of −200 USD, credit of 200 USD and equity of 0 USD. Credit bringing equity to zero does not by itself prevent an application. If positions and orders are closed, funds activity is settled and the other conditions are met, the profile may apply for assessment. After approval and completed clearing in this example, balance, credit and equity are all zero. Applying is not approval; clearing is not required for every withdrawal and does not guarantee payout.
Which balances are included?
The calculation and approved clearing can include balances in:
Live Accounts;
Funds Management accounts;
Social Trading accounts;
Investment Wallets; and
Partner Wallets.
What happens after approval?
All eligible positive and negative balances covered by the approved request are reset to zero. A positive balance in one eligible account or wallet is therefore also cleared as part of the profile-wide adjustment.
Examples
Account A: -USD 100; Account B: +USD 20. Combined eligible balance is -USD 80, so the profile may be eligible. After approval, both eligible balances are reset to zero.
Account A: -USD 100; Account B or wallet: +USD 300. Combined eligible balance is +USD 200, so the profile is not eligible.
Account A: -USD 100; Account B: -USD 50; Account C: +USD 20. Combined eligible balance is -USD 130, so the profile may be eligible. After approval, all eligible balances are reset to zero.
What is excluded?
Assets held as an Investor in a fund, and amounts in a Fund Manager's managed account that are not the applicant's own funds, are not currently included in the clearing scope.
Can a profile-level balance review affect a withdrawal?
Yes. A submitted withdrawal may remain under review while FXTRADING.com checks balances across eligible accounts and wallets in the same profile, unsettled activity, margin, or another account condition. This is a standard control based on profile and account conditions, not a measure directed at selected customers.
Negative balance clearing is not a prerequisite for every withdrawal, and completing it does not guarantee that a withdrawal will be approved. If no action is required from you, the request continues through normal processing. If information or action is required, FXTRADING.com will notify you through an action message in the Client Portal or another official FXTRADING.com channel. Complete only the stated action; the request may remain pending until it is completed. If you do not complete the required action, the withdrawal may be rejected.
Do not deposit funds solely because one account shows a negative balance. If an official withdrawal action mentions adding funds, depositing or topping up, obtain secure manual review by Customer Support before taking funding action. Do not rely on a chatbot to confirm a funding amount, currency or payment method. After all positions are closed, a negative combined balance at profile level is assessed separately under the negative balance clearing policy.
How do I request a review?
For account-specific help, sign in to the Client Portal, open Service Hub from the left navigation menu, select Create Ticket, and choose the category and issue that best match your request.
Important: Negative balance clearing is not automatic and approval is not guaranteed. Do not open new positions, place new orders, or initiate deposits, withdrawals, transfers, redemptions, or other fund movements while a request is being assessed.
