What should I check before making a deposit?

Check account ownership, payment details, fees, limits and crypto information before making a deposit.

Before depositing, check the payment method, destination, currency and transaction details shown in the FXTRADING.com Client Portal. These checks can help prevent a rejected, delayed or incorrectly routed deposit.

Who does this article apply to?

This article applies to customers using the Deposit function in the Client Portal. The methods, currencies, transaction limits and destinations available to you depend on your profile, region, verification status and current payment-provider availability.

What should I check before starting?

  • Complete any verification task shown in the Client Portal.

  • Confirm that the intended trading account or wallet is available as a deposit destination.

  • Use a bank account, card, wallet or other payment method held in your own legal name.

  • Check that your payment-method name matches the name registered with FXTRADING.com.

  • Review the minimum, maximum, fee, currency conversion and processing estimate shown for the selected method.

  • Use only payment instructions generated for the current deposit request.

  • Keep the deposit confirmation and payment record until the funds are visible in the selected destination.

Which deposit methods can I use?

The Client Portal shows the methods currently available for your selected currency and destination. A method available to another customer, or one that you used previously, may not be available for your current deposit.

If a previous method is missing, select another eligible method shown in the Client Portal. Do not use old bank details, saved payment links or a cryptocurrency address from an earlier request.

Can I deposit from another person's account, card or wallet?

Use only a payment method held in your own legal name. A deposit sent by another person or organisation may be rejected, returned or require additional review.

If the name cannot match because your registered details have changed, update or verify your information before depositing. Do not use another person's payment method as a workaround.

Does FXTRADING.com charge a deposit fee?

Review the fee displayed for the selected method before confirming the deposit. A bank, card issuer, payment provider, currency-conversion service or blockchain network may apply its own charge or deduct an amount during processing.

The amount sent, the amount received by the payment provider and the amount credited to your destination can differ when a third-party charge or currency conversion applies.

Is there a minimum deposit?

The transaction minimum for the selected payment method is shown in the Client Portal. A payment-method minimum is different from the amount that may be required to activate a new trading account.

For account-activation requirements, see Why is my new trading account read-only?

What should I check before a cryptocurrency deposit?

  1. Start a new cryptocurrency deposit in the Client Portal.

  2. Confirm the supported asset and blockchain network.

  3. Copy the wallet address from the current request.

  4. Compare the full address and network in both systems before sending.

  5. Send only the supported asset through the selected network.

  6. Keep the transaction ID, also called the TXID, as text.

You may send from a wallet or service that can complete the transfer through the supported network, but you must control the funding source and be able to provide evidence of the transaction. Do not rely on a saved address, and never provide FXTRADING.com with a private key or recovery phrase.

Do I have to deposit in my trading account's base currency?

Use one of the deposit currencies displayed for your selected method and destination. If conversion is required, review the currency and resulting amount shown before confirming. Do not assume that a future withdrawal must use the same currency merely because that currency was used for the deposit.

How do I confirm that the deposit was recorded?

After completing the payment-provider steps:

  1. Open Transaction History in the Client Portal.

  2. Filter the list to show deposits.

  3. Select the new deposit record.

  4. Check the destination, amount, currency, status and any action message.

A bank debit, blockchain transfer or payment-provider confirmation does not by itself prove that the funds have been credited to the selected FXTRADING.com destination.
